The first helmet I did was a Red5 – Luke helmet. It was my first try in a “complex” paint job with weathering. Watched a few tutorial on youtube, checked reference pictures and started the build. As with every other build before and after ( until today) there was an apprehension of failing.
I was really excited to check the final result and at the same time compared it to an EFX replica which I quickly sold; aside of being my production, the helmet I had just finished felt ” right”, full of grit…legit.
Afterwards I started to build and paint helmets as fun side projects to get my mind away from the more intensive ones…each taught me something new about the build, abiout painting, about characters; enough so that I would start making my custom ones.
