A key component of a great costume that is way to often forgotten is weathering ( aging) clothes. This is something I love doing which I often compare to cooking since I use similar ingredients … check my other post on that.
For the deathwatch mando I introduced another technique to my usual mix with partial dye. In order to get the “purple-ish” colour from the series I started with a grey fabric then create a mix dye to get to my desired colour. I dyed the entire suit BUT I made sure to not care too much that it be even… in doing so some areas would be darker and other lighter emulating ( at random) spots that have been more exposed to harsh natural light for long.
The rest is my suaul bklend of sand paper, cinamom poweder, flour, spices, and flame.
