A couple of years ago, I created a Lando Skiff Guard helmet by printing a 3D file of the helmet and painting it in the colors from the movie. It looked really good, but I still wanted to redo the helmet using leather, as it appeared in the film. When I got the opportunity, I reprinted a new helmet and started the process of covering it with a piece of leather. This turned out to be somewhat challenging, as I needed to ensure it took on the correct shapes, but the final result was extremely beautiful. Given what I know now, I would probably approach the gluing of the leather differently if I were to make another one in the future. Nonetheless, I’m really happy with the end result.
