3P0 is not my favorite droid…not even R2 ; if you ask me I much prefer K2S0 from Rogue One or chopper from Rebels animated series. That being said the design of 3P0 is visually stricking and I wanted to play around with it. The challenge was to make it golden but not chromed , more like the blasted version haning from chewie’s back.
With this particular build I discovered weathering with fire !! A technique that emulates blast points and gives an exc ellent finish to the look and feel I was going for.
