Maker Faire reached out to have the 501st present and asked me if I could make a special booth; something less “printed” more real feel… so I spent about 10 days sourcing a new booth; the wall panels, the paint, the scraps and heaps, printing all the droid heads, painting them, making a brand new gonk, put together (very quickly and alas not so accurate) Jawa, print and paint the control panels…distressing the walls… setting up until 2AM, adding sound scape to the booth; thank god for my little FAN droid because at 33degree it came handy…and I am still not happy about the results !
One thing I liked though is to test the knowledge of fans…on the scrap shelfs I put 2 props from other sci-fi movies… most saw the first one , no one found the second. I might turn that into a game and have giveaways.
